Zanzibar - the exotic spice islands! Yesterday our dear group of guests took the morning flight from Dar es Salaam to Unguja - the main island of Zanzibar! For their stay they will enjoy Mtoni Marine - a very good beach resort just north of Stone Town.
After check in at the hotel, the program were visiting one f Zanzibars many Spice Farms, to see and learn about the spices grown on the island, and maybe also tasting some of the exotic fruits avaliable!
Thereafter a historical walk through the narrow streets of Stone Town, visiting "The house of Wonders", and the old slave dungeons, before enjoying the evening at the hotel.
Today was one of the "highlights" of the Zanzibar adventure - Safari Blue! Full day sailing on a traditional sailboat - dhow, seeing dolphins, snorkelling and swimming, and enjoying the fruits of the Indian Ocean for lunch.
